Trip.com for Travelers in China
Book your next stop and keep the details close at hand.
A few nights in Shanghai, a train to the next city and a hotel waiting at the other end: a China trip soon becomes a collection of small arrangements. Keeping those details together makes it easier to enjoy the days between them.
Trip.com offers an English-language way to book hotels, flights and trains in China, with English customer support. It can be useful both before departure and when you need to check a booking on the move.

Before You Book
Set up your view
Install Trip.com using the official links on this page. Choose English and a display currency you find easy to compare. Use the same dates and number of travelers when comparing options.
Keep your details consistent
Sign in if you want to manage bookings through an account. Use an email you can access during the trip, and enter traveler names and document details exactly as requested from the passport.
Choose the Right Booking
Hotels: start with the location
Picture the beginning and end of your day. A hotel near the places you want to explore may be more useful than one that simply looks central on a city map. Compare room photos, bed arrangements, occupancy and breakfast, then read recent guest reviews.
Check arrival instructions and bring your original passport for check-in. Ask the hotel or Trip.com about any unclear requirements before booking.
Trains: check the station and status
Match the full departure and arrival station names to your plans; a city can have several stations. Check the date, departure time, seat class and each passenger’s passport details. An advance booking request is not a confirmed seat: wait for successful ticket issuance.
For an issued mainland high-speed rail e-ticket, you normally do not need to collect a paper ticket. Bring the original passport used to book; ask staff for help if the gate cannot read it.
Flights: compare the whole journey
Check the actual airports, flight times and baggage allowance for your fare. Include airport travel and check-in time when comparing a flight with a train. Confirm current check-in and baggage details with the airline. A low fare is only useful if it fits your plans.
After You Book
Check the confirmation and save your booking number. For flights, a payment-success message is separate from ticket-issued confirmation. If the stated processing time passes without confirmation, contact Trip.com.
Keep a copy of important details on your phone: hotel name and Chinese address, travel date, station or airport, and booking reference. Before each journey, check for updates and allow time to reach the correct terminal or station.
For the journey itself, read our High-Speed Trains guide.
Our Flights guide covers what to expect at the airport.
If You Get Stuck
A name or passport detail is wrong
Open the affected booking and contact support promptly. Explain the exact mismatch. Do not assume you can correct it at the station or airport; changes depend on the booking and supplier rules.
